OLED display on iPad Pro
Apple has finally unveiled its highly anticipated OLED display for its iPads. However, true to form, Apple has gone above and beyond by introducing what they’re calling Tandem OLED technology on the two new iPad Pros. While we’ll delve deeper into this innovation shortly, it’s important to note that Tandem OLED essentially involves stacking two OLED displays on top of each other to enhance brightness.
The new iPad Pros boast a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits for both SDR and HDR content, with HDR reaching an impressive 1600 nits. Additionally, Tandem OLED is complemented by a nano-textured glass coating for further refinement.
New M4 Processor
New M4 chips represent a significant advancement for iPad Pros, leveraging second-gen 3nm technology and an innovative display engine to enhance precision, color reproduction, and brightness. With a revamped 10-core CPU and GPU, the M4 delivers a remarkable 50% boost in performance compared to its predecessor, the M2 chip, with GPU performance 4 times faster. Apple’s commitment to halving the power consumption of the M2 chip while achieving superior performance underscores the impressive nature of this upgrade.
